Safeguarding Policy Statement

The Dartmouth Regatta Tournament Organising Committee acknowledges the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk.  We are committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice and LTA requirements.

Our safeguarding policy recognises that the welfare and interests of children and adults at risk are paramount in all circumstances. It aims to ensure that regardless of age, ability or disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, socio-economic background, all players have a positive and enjoyable experience of tennis at the Dartmouth Regatta Tennis Tournament in a safe and inclusive environment, and are protected from abuse whilst participating in tennis.

Diversity and Inclusion Policy

The Dartmouth Regatta Tournament Organising Committee is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion.  Our Policy sets out our commitment and includes our Safe and Inclusive Standards, Code of Conduct and Reporting Procedure.  It supports our overall aim to ensure that tennis diversity and inclusion are embedded in our culture and behaviours.

We believe that everyone involved in tennis has a vital role to play in promoting diversity and inclusion and we ask everyone proactively to promote Safe and Inclusive tennis and take action against all forms of discrimination.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how Dartmouth Tennis Regatta Organisation uses and protects any information that you give it when you use this website. Dartmouth Tennis Regatta Organisation is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Dartmouth Tennis Regatta Organisation may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page periodically to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1st November 2018.

What we collect

We may collect the following information: Your sex, name and contact information including postal and email address and telephone numbers Demographic information such as your postcode.  In order to present you with relevant tennis events we request your date of birth.  We will also track your progress and results during the tournament.  We do not collect any payment information.  What payment information you provide is passed directly to the Paypal payment facility and is not stored on our website.  We do maintain a history of payment requests, reciording the amount, date and Paypal reference numbers.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information in order to enter you into the tennis tournament and to manage the draw process.  We may periodically contact you regarding this event but only if you've indicated you wish to recieve such communications.  We may contact you by phone, text or email to manage any aspect of the tournament.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Cookies

We use cookies to enhance your experiance of the website.  They contain session information enabling communication between one visit to the website and another.  In particular, they indicate which tournament you are interested in, Open or Closed, and what was the last event you viewed.  Also, if you give permission your account login information is stored.  You will be asked if this is ok with you when you start using the site and you can decline to accept them if you wish.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. Controlling your personal information

You may view all the personal information we maintain abouit you by visiting your account link.  You may modify this information to correct any errors and keep the data up to date.   If you wish your personal information to be removed from the Site you may contact us by phone or email and we will remove it for you.  This process hasn't been automated as it involves us issuing you with a refund and removing you from all the events you may have entered.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting unless you tell us that you do not wish this to happen. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please contact us via our contact page. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to us via email. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
